Position Summary
The Development Coordinator provides crucial administrative, logistical, and database support to help grow our individual and major gifts programs, reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy. A primary focus of this role is the successful execution of donor events, including the annual Celebration of Hope Gala, by coordinating attendee logistics, managing vendors, supporting volunteer committees, and ensuring seamless donor stewardship and data management.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, event management, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Event Logistics Support
- Coordinate event logistics, including registration, RSVPs, seating assignments, guest communications, and event materials.
- Support on-site event execution and serve as a logistical resource for vendors, volunteers, and attendees.
- Assist with coordinating vendors by tracking contracts, timelines, invoices, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications team to produce event invitations, signage, programs, event webpage, and other materials.
- Maintain event timelines, checklists, and project plans to ensure deadlines are met.
Donor, Sponsor and Volunteer Engagement
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities before, during, and after fundraising events including prospect profiles.
- Coordinate fulfillment of donor and non-corporate sponsor recognition and event benefits.
- Assist with post-event stewardship activities and follow-up communications.
- Provide administrative support to volunteer committees by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items.
- Support fundraising campaigns and other development initiatives as assigned.
Portfolio Management
Manage a small portfolio of individuals to steward, cultivate, and secure donations based on event participation and annual giving.
Development Operations Support
· Maintain accurate, up to date attendee, prospect, and donor records in Salesforce
· Perform other administrative and capacity-building tasks as needed to streamline the individual giving pipeline.
Requirements
· Experience using Salesforce preferred, familiarity CRMs and other fundraising software, comfortable learning new software
· Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends in support of events and fundraising activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of professional, internship, or volunteer experience in fundraising, event planning, nonprofit organizations, or a related field
- Experience using project management tools
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in participating in fundraising events, nonprofit programs, or volunteer activities
- Demonstrated interest in nonprofit development, philanthropy, and mission-driven work
- Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills
- National travel for donor events may be required

Salary
· Salary range is $55,000 - $58,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
