Overview
We are seeking a part time proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Custodian to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization within our warehouse environment. Your efforts will ensure a pristine workspace that promotes safety, efficiency, and compliance with health standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a sustainable operation while developing valuable custodial skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of warehouse floors, work areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and chemical agents
- Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate floor care equipment to maintain high-quality flooring surfaces
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly
- Safely lift, move, and handle heavy cleaning supplies or equipment following proper lifting practices
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance tasks as needed
- Follow safety procedures when handling chemical agents and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and safe cleaning practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper techniques
- Strong understanding of facilities procedures and industrial cleaning methods
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Language - Bilingual Preferred
- Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM - 1:00PM
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
