Part-Time Baker
We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic part-time baker to join our DeBeen Team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food and coffee, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn. No prior baking experience is required—we are happy to provide training for the right candidate.
About DeBeen Espresso
Our cafe has been a High Point name for almost 30 years! We are coffee focused with an in-house vegan bakery specializing in simple pastries, baked goods, and grab-and-go items. Our goal is to provide fresh, high-quality products that pair perfectly with our coffee offerings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of vegan pastries and baked goods
- Follow recipes and production schedules
- Assist with food preparation and packaging of grab-and-go items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas
- Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate supply needs
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work efficiently to ensure products are ready for daily service
Qualifications
- No baking experience required; training will be provided
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
