Monday to Thursday 3:15pm- 1:45 am with a shift differential. Below you will find the information on what we are looking for in our QCI's.
Summary Description:
Visual and dimensional inspection of thermoforming plastic packaging including associated value added packaging operations. Responsible for data entries from thickness, dimensional and visual inspection data. These inspections are documented and communicated to manufacturing personnel and management in an effort to maintain superior quality and efficient/productive processes. Clerical duties include maintenance of daily inspection records and order retention samples. Essential duties also include follow up to processes not meeting requirements after manufacturing personnel execute process adjustments.
Skills:
· Good moral/ethical character – supports Nelipak Values
· Excellent communication skills working with employees at all levels
· Strong basic math: Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
· Bilingual – Spanish (Plus)
· Hands-on experience using precision ruler, weight scale, caliper, micrometer and magna mike, height gauge, go-no gauges, etc.
· Basic computer operations: Navigation and file access (a plus)
· Clear and complete writing skills required for Clerical/Record Keeping
· Good Eyesight and manual dexterity for detailed inspection
· Performs incoming, in process, final and outgoing process inspections.
· 1st article measurement
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years manufacturing with inspection duties.
· Formal Training in procedures/ ISO, Inspect methods and techniques
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Data entries from thickness, dimensional and visual data : Using magna-mike macros program , precision ruler, micrometer, weight scales, height gauge and caliper.
· Troubleshooting and corrective measures in team with manufacturing
· Authorization to Manufacture: Total process review at initiation of new manufacturing order to include material verification, label, pack out, visual and dimensional checks, retain part acquisition, and communications to manufacturing personnel regarding quality requirements / expectations.
· Final Inspection and release of the product: Pack out, visual inspections, and release of skid. Incoming Inspection: Quarterly incoming inspection, data and paperwork. This information must be submitted to material depot. Also incoming inspection performed during the process must be recorded in the appropriate file.
· Outgoing process must be performed as indicated in the in-process forms.
· Clerical maintenance of Quality Control Checks, pack –out forms, and visual aids forms and Retains pieces for all customers, 1st article inspection, validations : Medical, Food.
· Control of non-conforming product and other rework or sorting activities.
· Training: Provide training to pickers/packers on pack out process ,visual aids, re-work or sort activities, and other activities like WI or procedures , quality information , etc.
Other Duties:
· Will determinate optimal pack out orientations and quantities in cooperation with Production Supervisor and/ or QA Inspector, QA Manager, QA Tech.
· Keep equipment clean, organized and proper storage.
Keep of non-conforming areas, retains, cabinets, etc, clean and organized at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
