Duties
- Safely operate box trucks, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) routes, utilizing GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, handling logistics cargo with care while adhering to safety protocols for hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
- Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, appliances , or retail & store inventory.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking manual transmissions, load securement, brakes, lights, and tires.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route adjustments while ensuring adherence to all DOT regulations during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving.
- Familiarity with operating
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during load & unload procedures using equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Skilled in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
- Experience with truck loading/unloading techniques involving freight handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance in commercial driving environments involving dangerous goods or hazardous materials.

Pay: $1,080.84 - $1,505.96 per week
