THE ORGANIZATION:
Net Community Care is a division of Northeast Treatment Centers (NET), a non-profit organization serving
the Philadelphia region. As a designated Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) for the Department of Human
Services, Net Community Care operates CUA1 and CUA7, providing comprehensive child welfare services
focused on safety, permanency, and family well-being. Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural
humility, Net Community Care works to stabilize families, support youth development, and ensure children
can grow in safe, nurturing, and permanent homes. The organization is committed to strengthening
communities through collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
SUMMARY:
Case Aides play an important role in supporting families and ensuring the safety and well-being of children. In
this position, you will work directly with families identified by the Department of Human Services who may
need help improving parenting skills and creating a safe, stable home environment. In this role you will assist
families in learning and practicing skills that reduce safety risks and promote healthy child development. This
work includes providing hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to help families build the tools they
need to care for their children successfully.
Case Aide’s have strong knowledge of child welfare protective services issues and the needs of high risk,
vulnerable families. The Department of Human Services based on concerns regarding parenting skills and
ability to maintain children in a safe environment identifies client families. This intensive program will assist
families in developing parenting practices and skills that reduce safety risks and enhance ability to provide a
nurturing environment for children.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Two years’ experience involving youth and families preferred
- Knowledge of child and family service systems
- Valid Driver’s License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record
- Experience with computers beneficial
- Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
