Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables quickly, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
- Support food runners by delivering dishes from kitchen to table efficiently and safely
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips
- Uphold food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience, and fostering positive guest relations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or special events such as nightclub evenings or private parties
Experience
- Previous experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience working in fine dining environments or high-volume restaurants is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
- Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable is beneficial
