American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Med/Surg Float unit including ER Hold coverage

Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
-
18-week assignment length

Active GA or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

First-time travelers accepted

Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients including overflow from the ER
-
Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine unit fit before being sent for manager review

Full compliance required to meet start date, otherwise a two-week delay may occur due to biweekly orientation scheduling

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)

No special scheduling requests or alternate shift accommodations permitted

Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit

Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate

Returning employees/travelers must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
