Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to customer service. This role requires a blend of both hosting and assisting servers , ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Aloha POS or Micros POS systems proficient.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to new guests .
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation with takeout.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to uphold sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests for take out.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for checks and tips.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check processing.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
