Fredericksburg Christian School (FCS) is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership for a growing, Christ-centered school community serving students from preschool through 12th grade.
The Finance Director plays a vital role in helping FCS steward the resources God has entrusted to our school, ensuring that sound financial decisions support our mission of educating Christian leaders for life.
Working closely with the Head of School and serving as a member of the school’s Leadership Team, the Finance Director will provide financial insight and leadership across budgeting, accounting, tuition and billing, human resources, development, long-range planning, banking, and financial compliance.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Preference given to those with Finance experience in a non-profit organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and develop practical solutions.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and relational skills.
