Job Description:
The DePaul College Prep Social Studies Department seeks an experienced, collaborative, energetic, and positive educator to teach Sociology and United States College Prep History. The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with the following characteristics:

Experience with a wide range of instructional strategies that are tailored to meet the needs and strengths of each student;

Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive relationships with students;

Willingness to work with a team of teachers to develop and present engaging, student-centered lessons and assessments;

Incorporate various modes of technology into lesson plans;

Proactive in maintaining open communication with parents, counselors, deans, learning specialists, and other staff;

Dedicated to being a lifelong learner in the art and science of teaching young adults;

Values and seeks to understand the cultural and social identities of each student and is dedicated to their academic, social- emotional, and spiritual growth;
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree plus active Illinois PEL
MA/MS in the content area or MEd. is preferred
Sociology teaching experience preferred

Salary Range:
Minimum/Starting - Maximum $48,000 - $98,000
