Job Summary
Motivated Kids Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Biller to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations. Responsibilities include managing insurance verifications, obtaining authorizations, coding diagnoses, submitting claims, processing payments, conducting audits, and reprocessing or allocating missed payments. The ideal candidate will also assist the front office with scheduling and general receptionist duties as needed. This is a dynamic role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clinical and administrative teams.
Duties
- Review and verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy.
- Submit prior authorizations to various insurance providers
- Code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Maintain organized medical records and documentation to support billing processes.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any billing-related questions or concerns.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.
- Support front office staff with administration duties
- Review scheduling and ensure patients have appropriate authorized visits
Experience
- Preferred experience in medical billing, within a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with diagnosis codes systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
