Responsibilities
- Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to maintain spotless surfaces throughout the hotel.
- Assist with hotel housekeeping management by supporting room attendants and ensuring common areas are clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
- Handle cleaning tasks with proper knowledge of sanitation procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and chemical handling protocols to ensure safe working conditions.
- Conduct custodial activities such as vacuuming, heavy lifting, manual handling, and industrial cleaning to uphold hygiene standards across all areas.
- Support hotel emergency procedures by promptly responding to safety concerns or incidents, including sanitation issues or hazardous spills.
- Manage janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment inventory, ensuring all tools are maintained in excellent condition for daily use.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with their needs in a courteous and professional manner, fostering a welcoming environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the safe handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers efficiently.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles that demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork.
