Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class B CDL or better Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and operating a trash truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including route driving.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Execute route driving duties, ensuring the route is driven properly and stops are picked up in order of the route sheet.
- Help with emptying customers trash and operating the hydraulics of the truck.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with office staff for route issues and/or changes.
- Emptying the truck at the transfer station or landfill on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Must be 25 years of age or older with proven experience as a CDL driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid Class B or better Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record and updated medical card.
- Must be able to pass pre-hire and random drug screenings throughout employment.
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and handling of goods.
- Flexibility in working hours, including the potential for overtime as required.
Compensation
- The job is guaranteed 40 hours unless you are unable to complete the route for the day or are late, Overtime is available.
- There's an evaluation with a possible raise after 90 days.
- Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) are available after 90 days.
