Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure quality and presentation standards are met
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene protocols
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe execution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including storage and work stations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely meal service and smooth operations
- Participate in catering events or special meal preparations as needed
- Follow all safety regulations, including knife skills and proper equipment use, to prevent accidents
Skills
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly valued
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or culinary settings
- Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly technique
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations
