Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our Dynamic Family Owned and Run Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 26ft BoxTruck to deliver freight efficiently and on time to A Network of Warehouses and Job Sites. Your expertise in handling different cargo types, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent route management will ensure smooth transportation operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles transporting freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper manual handling techniques with a Pallet Jack and Liftgate equipment, ensuring proper securing of freight and goods using E-Tracs, E-Trac Straps, Load Bars, Dolly, Blankets and edge guards as needed to meet Company‘s Freight safety standards.
- Navigate Delivery route efficiently using GPS navigation systems while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Comply with All weigh Station Notifications and Requirements ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections each day before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly.
- Deliver freight promptly while providing excellent customer service, ensuring accurate load & unload procedures at each destination.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver roles.
- Valid Drivers License with clean Background Required.
- Must be a able to pass physical Examination.
- Demonstrated knowledge of truck driving safety regulations including FMCSA and DOT standards.
- Experience handling various cargo freight types and other goods.
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools for efficient deliveries.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, operating a pallet Jack and a Liftgate is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and load & unload processes.
- Compensation
- Pay is 20% of each load Delivered
- Fuel card provided
- $1000 sign on Bonus (paid over 1st 4 weeks)
