Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within our facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in appliance repair, HVAC & appliance technology, and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform both routine maintenance and complex repairs. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and the longevity of equipment across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct repairs on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other HVAC/R equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of construction-related equipment as needed.
- Operate company vehicles safely for service calls or equipment transport.
- Lead or assist in projects involving equipment upgrades or system replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC system repair, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures related to HVAC & appliance technology.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices in industrial or commercial settings.
- Ability to operate construction tools and equipment safely; experience with construction is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform complex repairs on mechanical systems including kitchen equipment maintenance and appliance installation.
- Familiarity with HVAC & appliance technology standards and practices.
- Customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles preferred.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or lead small teams on projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
