Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Petoskey to hire a Quality Technician. In this role, you'll help ensure products consistently meet quality standards while supporting a safe, efficient manufacturing operation.

What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Perform in-process product inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications
- Complete daily Quality Assurance shift reports accurately
- Interpret work orders, drawings, and product specifications
- Identify, document, and contain non-conforming products
- Interpret test results, investigate quality concerns, and recommend solutions
- Maintain production records and quality documentation
- Verify calibration accuracy of quality equipment
- Assist with training team members on quality standards and procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with implementing updated quality procedures
- Work closely with production leadership to promote quality objectives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Ability to read blueprints, line specifications, and technical documents
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate computer and data entry skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to distinguish color and print variations
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or quality assurance experience
- Quality systems management training
- Experience performing product inspections
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and quality reporting

This position requires standing, walking, lifting, inspecting products, and maintaining close attention to detail throughout your shift. You'll regularly use measuring tools, analyze production quality, complete documentation, and communicate with production teams to resolve quality concerns.
