Indecent Vehicles builds bespoke, wide-body Porsche 911s (997 and 991 platforms) in Houston, Texas. Every car is a full commission: donor vehicle in, complete teardown, in-house wide-body fabrication, paint, tuning, and final assembly — then out the door to a client or onto the show floor at events like Monterey Car Week and Goodwood. Job Description
The Role
Tier 2 technicians bring the cars together. You will spend roughly 75% of your time on reassembly and final fitment — hanging wide-body panels, setting gaps, installing suspension and brakes, reinstalling interiors and electrical, and getting the car ready for QC — and 25% on disassembly, handling the more complex teardown steps on incoming builds. This role requires real Porsche or European-car experience and an eye for finish quality: our cars are judged at arm's length.
What You'll Do
Reassembly & Fitment (approx. 75%)
- Fit and align in-house wide-body panels, bumpers, fenders, rockers, and aero to consistent, show-quality gaps
- Install and torque suspension (coilovers, arms, links), brakes, wheels, and tires; set ride height and perform initial alignment checks
- Reinstall interiors, trim, lights, glass, and underbody panels to factory-or-better standard
- Reconnect wiring harnesses, sensors, and modules; verify function and clear faults
- Install aftermarket components per build spec (exhaust, intake, forced-induction support components, audio/PCCM+, aero hardware)
- Perform pre-delivery inspections, road-test prep, and punch-list corrections
- Document assembly steps, torque values, and part numbers in the build file
Disassembly (approx. 25%)
- Lead teardown on complex or high-value vehicles
- Remove and preserve components that require care or diagnostic knowledge (modules, harness sections, factory aero systems)
- Support Tier 1 technicians during teardown and check their labeling and documentation
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional automotive technician experience
- Direct experience with Porsche 997/991 or comparable European platforms (BMW M, Audi RS, Mercedes AMG)
- Proven panel-fitment and gap-alignment ability — bring photos of your work
- Strong understanding of suspension, brake, and basic electrical systems
- Comfortable with torque specs, service manuals, and diagnostic tools (Durametric, PIWIS, or similar a plus)
- Clean, organized, and self-managing — you finish what you start and you own the quality
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; able to lift 50 lbs
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
