We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Manage and organize legal documents
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas including civil litigation, estate planning, family law, real estate litigation.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Coordinate case files by filing documents electronically and physically while adhering to procedural law requirements.
- Assist attorneybwith trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and evidence; support deposition scheduling and follow-up.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and external partners through professional phone etiquette and written correspondence.
- Support project management tasks by tracking deadlines, managing calendars for court filings and hearings, and ensuring timely submission of all legal documentation
- Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining meticulous records of case activities.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing emails, preparing reports, and assisting with general office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant supporting litigation cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of procedural law across multiple practice areas such as civil litigation support, general & commercial litigation,, estate planning, family law, landlord-tenant law
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; sharp proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly with integrity.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing), data entry accuracy, filing systems both electronic and physical.
- Effective interviewing skills for client intake or witness interviews; strong research capabilities
- Experience supporting attorney in court filings and trial preparation; familiarity with procedural rules governing civil litigation procedures is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills combined with proactive project management abilities to streamline workflows within the legal team.
