Job Summary
Phoenix City Grille and Still & Barrel are seeking an experienced Bartender / Cocktail Professional to work across two distinct but connected bar programs: the polished, high-volume restaurant environment of Phoenix City Grille and the whiskey-forward, cocktail-driven identity of Still & Barrel.
This is not an average bartending role. We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between elevated restaurant service and a more spirits-focused bar experience while maintaining strong hospitality, technical precision, and professionalism in both settings.
The right candidate has a deep respect for classic technique, strong service instincts, confidence in high-volume environments, and genuine enthusiasm for whiskey, cocktails, and guest engagement. This role is ideal for a bartender who can lead from behind the bar, connect with guests, and help uphold standards across both concepts.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong bartending experience in craft cocktail bars, upscale dining, or high-level hospitality environments
- Confidence executing both classic cocktails and polished restaurant bar service
- Working knowledge of whiskey, including bourbon, rye, and Scotch, with the ability to speak comfortably about production methods and flavor profiles
- Ability to balance speed, consistency, hospitality, and attention to detail in busy service
- Leadership qualities that help set the tone behind the bar
- Professional presence, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
- Curiosity, pride in your craft, and a desire to continue learning
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine with consistency and attention to detail
- Deliver strong hospitality and personalized guest experiences in both restaurant and bar settings
- Confidently guide guests through cocktail, whiskey, bourbon, and spirits selections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared bar, including mise en place, batching, prep, and stocking
- Help lead bar service by setting the pace, supporting teammates, and maintaining standards during busy shifts
- Execute classic cocktails with precision while contributing thoughtfully to seasonal and featured cocktail development
- Participate in whiskey education, tastings, and single barrel conversations, and help communicate those offerings to guests
- Assist with inventory, product organization, rotation, and cost awareness
- Work collaboratively with managers, bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Uphold all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor compliance standards
- Support both Phoenix City Grille and Still & Barrel bar operations as business needs require
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience preferred; upscale, craft cocktail, or whiskey-focused experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and bar fundamentals
- Whiskey knowledge is strongly valued
- Ability to stay composed and professional during high-volume service
- Strong POS, cash handling, and transactional accuracy
- Dependable, organized, and punctual
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
