Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and handling standards
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an outstanding experience
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods as needed
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and food handling practices
- Ability to perform retail math including cash handling, sales calculations, and basic math operations
- Experience in the food industry or café environment is a plus
