We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the clinic's calendar effectively.
- Collect patient information, including insurance details and demographics.
- Assist with the intake process by measuring vital signs as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Handle phone inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel or departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred but willing to train
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial.
