Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, suspension, and transmission.
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing worn or faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, suspension components, and electrical systems.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision and quality.
- Diagnose advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and calibrate sensors for optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools.
- Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Experience repairing vehicle suspension systems, powertrains, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and ADAS calibration procedures.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance procedures including alignment and vehicle systems troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; however, all makes and models are welcome.
- Technical proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment.
