Duties

- Utilize learning technology and LMS (Learning Management Systems) to track student progress, assign activities, and communicate with students and parents effectively
- Adapt instructional strategies for students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring inclusive participation in all activities
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and interdisciplinary projects to enrich the overall educational experience
- Assess student performance using standardized testing data and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
- Incorporate literacy education and math integration into music lessons when appropriate to enhance cross-curricular learning
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and school policies while fostering a safe, respectful atmosphere
Skills
- Strong knowledge of teaching music across elementary grade levels with experience in classroom management and curriculum implementation
- Proficiency in using LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and educational software to enhance instruction
- Experience working with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities or special education needs
- Deep understanding of childhood development principles relevant to music education and behavior management strategies
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse cultural backgrounds and individual learning styles
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining parent relationships
- Skilled in lesson planning, data analysis of student performance metrics, and instructional modifications based on assessment results
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures related to music education or general elementary assessments
- Knowledge of literacy education techniques integrated into music instruction; experience tutoring or providing private lessons is a plus
