Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across our facilities. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical systems to ensure peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes swiftly.
- Perform HVAC system installations and upgrades in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems and electrical systems using appropriate field tools; repair or replace faulty components as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs for all equipment repairs, maintenance activities, and system updates.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and building automation controls to optimize system efficiency.
- Support property maintenance efforts by addressing air conditioning issues, appliance repairs, and building automation system adjustments to enhance occupant comfort.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or Maintenance Technician with construction experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and electrical systems repair; familiarity with electrical codes is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance; including boilers and mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; familiarity with specialized tools such as ohmmeters required.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or building automation systems are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) for field service operations; clean driving record preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups; experience with appliance repair is beneficial.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
