Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team on day shift at our HJ Bentley location. The works hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through rigorous quality control and inspection processes. This position requires a strong understanding of quality systems and the ability to utilize various precision measuring instruments and technologies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform shop floor, manual inspections at machine centers
- Conduct Roving Audits, Dock Audits, Receiving Inspections and Final Inspections.
- Work Center audits that include:
- Verify gages that are on shop floor
- Monitor for counterfeit parts
- 1st pc orange tag confirmation and monitoring
- Monitor material ID tags
- Review IPIR inspection frequencies
- Confirm tags and inspection records are filled out completely
- Review and recommend revisions to job packet documents as needed
- Notify supervisor of any safety hazards observed
- Perform screening of suspected parts anytime a non-conformance is detected
- Enter all inspections, non-conformances, and corrections in UniPoint
- Perform needed sorting and rework activities as needed or assigned
- Provide constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
- Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
- Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.
- Attend scheduled meetings and actively participate by providing meaningful input.
- Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a metals and/or machining environment is required.
- Experience with cast metals and machining is preferred.
- Must be detail oriented and have a proven track record adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
