Position Summary:
This position supports the mission and work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization. The Executive Director at the Southcoast YMCA stewards the Y’s cause, promoting and protecting the brand and reputation as a global, inclusive organization within the community. The Executive Director oversees the operations of the branch and gives leadership to the development and direction of the branche’s Board, annual campaigns, facilities, program operations, fiscal management, volunteer and staff, financial development, and collaboration with community stakeholders; all of which support the organizational strategy.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. At times, employees may be exposed to undesirable working conditions, communicable infectious diseases, and risk of injury from others. All employees are required to always follow the preventative health policies of the YMCA. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
