We are seeking a driven HR Professional to join our team as the new HR Generalist for our Harness Department. The H.R. Generalist, under the direction of the Director of Corporate HR, supports the functions within the HR department. Key measurable objectives of this position include accuracy, meeting timely deadlines, and exhibiting dependability in completing assigned responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting and hiring qualified associates to fill vacancies and new openings to meet company needs
- Administrating the company’s compensation, benefits programs, unemployment compensation, and the retirement plan(s) per policy guidelines
- Maintaining complete and accurate personnel records in accordance with all local, state, federal, and company regulations by updating employment data to reflect employee transfers, wage adjustments, and terminations
- Ensuring the company is in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company policy guidelines pertaining to employee relations
- Monitoring personnel turnover, seniority, and other census
- Assisting/Leading the discussion and resolution of associate complaints to identify and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Discussing pertinent federal, state, local, or company regulations with individuals when necessary
- Maintaining associate programs/relations in an open and positive manner
- Representing the company in matters concerning disciplinary procedures and unemployment insurance to minimize liability and enhance associate work effectiveness
- Conducting onboarding for new associates and benefits for eligible employees and offboarding for terminated associates
- Completing federal/state payroll inquiries
- Completing VOE requests per company policy
- Worker’s Compensation Administration
- Maintain OSHA Log and complete annual survey(s) as required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

- Must have working knowledge of HR principles/functions, payroll administration and related laws/regulations
- Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Must have experience with HRIS systems, Ulti-Pro preferred
- Must have keen attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be able to multi-task by working on multiple projects at one time
- Possess a positive, cooperative attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates in all divisions and at all levels of the company
- Must have ability to respond to associate questions and concerns in a constructive manner
- Must have ability to develop and improve ideas to execute project plans in an efficient manner
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or equivalent Industrial Relations experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS software
- Familiarity with all local, state, and federal laws/regulations pertaining to employment and retention
- Direct experience with complaint investigation and resolution
