We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in pool maintenance and repair. As a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that pools are clean, safe, and functioning properly. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to work independently.
Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform routine and advanced pool maintenance — skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and more
- Troubleshoot and resolve tough pool problems like green water, algae outbreaks, and water level issues
- Test and adjust chemical balances daily to ensure water safety and clarity
- Inspect, repair, and maintain pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, and more)
- Use power and hand tools safely and effectively for repairs and upkeep
- Provide clear, friendly communication with homeowners — educate and address concerns professionally
- Keep detailed records of all services and maintenance for each pool
- Work independently while managing your daily schedule efficiently
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices on every job site
What Makes a Successful Pool Technician
- Strong knowledge of pool chemistry and equipment operation
- Experience handling challenging pools (green pools, leaks, equipment malfunctions)
- Ability to diagnose and fix common pool problems quickly and effectively
- Comfortable working alone and managing time independently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills — personable, patient, and professional
- Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving
- Ready and willing to work outdoors in Texas weather (sun protection is a must!)
