The Senior Process Controls Engineer plays a critical role in supporting Olin’s business objectives by leading complex automation projects, including control system modernization, safety systems, and advanced process automation solutions. The role partners with operations, engineering, MES, and external stakeholders to implement standardized automation strategies and support enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
What You’ll Do

Lead end-to-end automation project execution, including planning, commissioning, startup, and risk management.

Design and implement advanced process control (APC), DeltaV DCS, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) solutions.

Migrate process control configuration from MOD 5 to DeltaV DCS, ensuring smooth on-site hardware cutovers and successful startups.

Drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, MES, and external partners.

Establish and maintain automation standards, best practices, and scalable solutions across manufacturing sites.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, troubleshooting, and site support for automation deployments across North America.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree* in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.

5+ years of process automation experience in chemical manufacturing environments.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS, including development and implementation of control strategies.

Demonstrated experience leading automation implementations, control system modernizations, small capital projects, or major project workstreams.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, system integrators, and project stakeholders.

Experience supporting project commissioning, startup, or system cutovers.

Prior Olin experience preferred.

Must possess a valid US driver's license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
