Compensation: Starting at $18/hr + tips; to be increased to $20 upon completion of training.

Position Overview
As a Barista at Reborn Coffee, you will craft specialty beverages for both new and returning customers while creating a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere. You will play a key role in maintaining drink quality, operational standards, and customer satisfaction.
This position requires energy, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Provide engaging, upbeat customer service
- Create a welcoming environment for all guests
- Communicate drink knowledge clearly and confidently
Specialty Drink Execution
- Prepare matcha, tea, and espresso-based beverages to Reborn quality standards
- Prepare house-made syrups and sweet creams
- Warm food items as needed
- Taste drinks to understand and maintain flavor profiles
Coffee Knowledge & Proficiency
- Understand roasting and bean processes
- Develop proficiency in flavor profiles and product knowledge
- Communicate coffee knowledge effectively to customers
POS & Cash Handling
- Operate register/POS accurately
- Ring up orders, apply discounts, load gift cards
- Clock in/out on time
- Take scheduled meal breaks in compliance with company policy
Sanitation & Safety
- Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Follow all company safety protocols
Scheduling & Communication
- Utilize Sling scheduling platform
- View and manage schedule
- Submit unavailability and time-off requests
- Confirm receipt of company updates and announcements
Requirements
- Minimum 20 hours per week availability
- Prior Coffee experience recommended
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
Required Certifications
- Food Handler Certificate
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Certificate

Work Environment
The surrounding area features restaurants, retirement communities, and golf courses. Work is fast-paced and requires standing and walking up to 6~8 hours at a time. Store busyness will vary depending on day, time of day, and season. The morning and lunch rush will require expeditious and attentive service.
