Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team as a Front Desk Specialist. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and check-in patients promptly while providing exceptional customer service.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and obtain all necessary registration documents.
- Collect co-payments, outstanding balances, and process patient payments accurately.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments.
- Conduct appointment reminder calls, recall campaigns, and patient outreach to maintain provider schedules.
- Accurately enter and update patient information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, current medications, allergies, and chief complaints for provider review.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, injections, and treatments as directed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Assist with specimen collection, laboratory processing, and diagnostic testing when applicable.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, referrals, and follow-up instructions.
- Manage incoming phone calls, patient inquiries, referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Support daily clinic operations and perform additional duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Minimum one (1) year of Medical Assistant and/or Medical Front Desk experience preferred.
- Experience collecting patient co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances required.
- Experience with patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, check-in, and check-out procedures required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), specifically eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility verification, and authorization processes preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical workflows.
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required based on experience.
- BLS/CPR certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
