Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our restaurant team through dynamic daily operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee store activities during your shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient inventory management, and smooth operational flow. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential
- Manage employee scheduling, training, onboarding, and development to foster a high-performing team
- Conduct interviews for potential new hires, participate in recruiting efforts, and ensure employee orientation is thorough
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with effective communication and negotiation skills
- Maintain accurate payroll records, bookkeeping, and manage operational tasks such as purchasing and inventory management
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly valued
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales transactions and budgeting
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, and managerial communication
- Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, and inventory control
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks
- Ability to multitask efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management abilities
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus
