ROLE
The Expeditor supports customer satisfaction by managing supplier deliveries, tracking orders, identifying delays, and communicating shipment updates to internal and external customers.
This role requires a highly organized, customer-focused individual who is committed to continuous improvement using technology, automation, and AI-powered tools. The Expeditor also supports supplier non-conformance processes, customer service calls, and cross-functional communication to help achieve company quality and delivery goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and evaluate open order report.
- Identify, track, and escalate late deliveries.
- Contact suppliers to improve delivery dates and shipment timelines.
- Research alternate sourcing solutions to support customer delivery expectations.
- Enter and maintain supplier delivery information accurately within Prophet 21 (P21)
- Communicate shipment updates, delays, tracking information, and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) to customers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all procurement and expediting procedures.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and AI-powered productivity tools to improve workflow efficiency and communication.
- Assist with supplier non-conformance reconciliation and documentation.
- Create and maintain process documentation, training materials, and training videos.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Share responsibility for incoming customer and supplier phone calls.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement team members and other departments.
- Support data accuracy and reporting requirements across procurement operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in: Microsoft products with expert excel skills, experience with ERP systems (P21 experience preferred) and project management platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to analyze, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, expediting, customer service, or inside sales
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or workflow automation platforms
- Experience creating process documentation or training content.
- Knowledge of supplier management and coordination

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required to sit at desk most of the workday. Vision that can be corrected to 20/20. Normal hearing abilities are required. Work is performed primarily on a computer with keyboard. Ability to perform work in a standard office environment.
WORK SCHEDULE
Work schedule can vary but will normally be scheduled sometime between company business hours of Monday – Friday 7:00am - 5:00 pm (maximum). Average work week will typically be 40 – 45-hour work week.
