Company Overview: We have been engaged by a Food and Beverage Company in Orange County. They are seeking a dynamic and FP&A Manager to join their finance team.
Job Summary: The FP&A Manager will play a key role in driving financial planning and analysis activities, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a finance professional with a strong background in full P&L management, corporate FP&A, and expertise in an inventory-based industry is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Full P&L Management: Oversee and manage the complete P&L for the organization, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and benchmarks, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
Corporate FP&A: Lead the corporate financial planning and analysis process, collaborating with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
Provide insightful variance analysis, highlighting key drivers of financial performance to aid in decision-making.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive leadership.
Budgeting Tools Utilization: Utilize advanced budgeting tools such as Planful, Vena, or Adaptive Insights/Adaptive Planning to streamline and enhance the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Continuously assess and recommend improvements to budgeting tools to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Strategic Decision Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to address specific business questions and challenges.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to facilitate scenario analysis, long-term planning, and sensitivity analysis.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with external auditors and contribute to the annual audit process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, with a focus on full P&L management and corporate FP&A.
- Inventory-based industry experience is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
