Position: Recreation Leader
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Temporary (3-Month Assignment)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Recreation Leader to join our team on a temporary three-month assignment. In this rewarding role, you'll help create meaningful experiences that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of our residents through engaging recreational programs and activities.
Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs.
Lead and encourage participation in group and individual activities, including games, arts and crafts, music, religious services, holiday celebrations, and special events.
Provide one-on-one visits, motivation, and reality orientation to residents as needed.
Observe, document, and report resident participation, behaviors, and progress.
Encourage resident and family involvement in activity planning and care goals.
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to enhance residents' quality of life.
Set up, supervise, and clean activity areas before and after programs.
Maintain recreation supplies, equipment, and activity materials.
Safely transport residents to and from activities within the facility.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all facility policies and procedures.
Minimum of one (1) year of recreation, activities, or related experience (long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
