Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a vacancy for an experienced Teaching Assistant for the 2026-27 school year to assist classroom teachers in the instruction and management of students with severe/multiple disabilities in the Pines Bridge at Sunshine program. Must be able to conduct class in Teacher’s absence. The position requires an ability and willingness to assist students in areas such as: managing behavior, lifting and assisting to enable all self-care activities, mobility, communication, therapies, and feedings. The position is located at Sunshine Children’s Home in Ossining, NY which is governed by the Department of Health. As a result, candidates will be required to go through a medical clearance process through Sunshine.
