Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Manager/Lead Inspector to champion quality assurance and control processes within our manufacturing environment. Duties
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and Aerospace industry-specific legal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO standards and methodologies to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct regular quality audits—both internal and supplier assessments—to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Oversee the calibration and validation of measurement tools
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including production and regulatory affairs—to resolve quality issues swiftly and implement corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis for defects or non-conformities using analysis skills to prevent recurrence and improve overall product reliability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean management practices, and ongoing training initiatives focused on quality assurance.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a strong background in quality control, assurance, or inspection.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 regulations and AS9100 within a manufacturing setting.
- Extensive knowledge of quality audits, regulatory compliance standards, and legal requirements relevant to manufacturing industries.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of inspectors or QA/QC personnel while fostering cross-functional communication.
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles, Lean management techniques, and advanced analysis skills for problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and quality standards to ensure precise inspection outcomes.
