Our client, a full-service moving and storage company, is looking for a Driver Helper to join their team in Poughkeepsie, NY. In this role, you will assist drivers and the moving team with transporting, wrapping, and handling household items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wrap, lift, and carry household items and packaging materials to and from trucks, homes, and warehouses
- Learn and apply efficient and safe lifting and carrying techniques under the guidance of the Driver Team Leader
- Follow directions from the driver and support the moving team as needed throughout the shift
Requirements:
- Previous moving or material handling experience preferred; training will be provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work extended hours when needed
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Must have flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours as needed
