We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused
Ludy Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team in
Jeffersonville, Indiana. This is a
temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Ludy slitter machine, inspecting veneer products for quality and specification compliance, maintaining production standards, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Training is available for motivated candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities

Operate the Ludy slitter machine safely and efficiently.

Inspect veneer products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Read and interpret customer specifications and production requirements.

Meet and maintain established production goals.

Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.

Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.

Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety guidelines.

Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe.

Assist with machine setup and adjustments as directed.

Work effectively with supervisors and team members to support production goals.
QualificationsRequired

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred

High School Diploma or GED.

At least 1 year of manufacturing or factory experience.

Previous machine operation experience.

Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing setting and may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment and machinery on a regular basis.
Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing throughout the shift.

Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to perform visual inspections, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
