CoveCare Center has an FT Licensed Clinician position where you will approach the role with enthusiasm to develop positive client relationships, as one of our primary goals is to keep our clients happy and healthy. CoveCare Center offers a Clinical Incentive plan in addition to a base salary. Clinicians receive quarterly incentive payments calculated based on the total sessions delivered above the minimum of 26 sessions per week.
CoveCare Center offers flexible hybrid work, both in our office and satellite locations. We work as a team with collaboration between clinicians, prescribers, care managers, nurses, peers, and administrative support. We have a full administrative team available during weekday hours as well as a billing and scheduling team.
CoveCare Center provides all the required IT equipment to work from the office and home.
CoveCare Center provides CEUs to Social Workers and Mental Health/Family and Marriage Counselors.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education - MA or MSW in Counseling or Social Work.
B. Experience - Experience preferred.
C. Independent Licensure Required (Licensure through New York State)

The Licensed Clinician shall use psychotherapeutic skills in providing clinical and case management services to people with mental illness and other co-occurring disorders and shall establish and maintain contact with professionals and family advocates in the community to maximize services for clients.
Essential Duties and Clinical Competencies:
1. Effectively collects social history, assesses, diagnoses, and treats all populations using the most current clinical tools and modalities, as well as cultural considerations.
2. Uses current modalities appropriate to the diagnosis, as well as within individual, family, couples, and group therapy. Maintains a 65% productivity rate.
3. Interacts appropriately with referral sources and collateral contacts with the highest professionalism and customer service standards.
4. Participates actively, avoiding distractions, and uses time appropriately. This includes avoiding the use of technology for personal purposes.
5. Facilitates appropriate referrals to internal and external programs, as needed, to provide an appropriate level of services. This includes appropriate documentation of referrals.
6. Completes documentation according to the document submission standards of the agency and OMH. Demonstrates an understanding of the need to provide services in the context of generating income. Demonstrates an understanding that generating income leads to continued agency viability, continued job security, and continued improvement of services for clients.
7. Completes progress note documentation effectively to demonstrate the service provided, the purpose of the service, and how the service is related to treatment goals and/or core problems. Progress notes are completed clearly and concisely, the same day as the service provided using collaborative documentation.
8. Completes individualized treatment plans and reviews collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and in a timely fashion (every 3-6 months) per agency and OMH standards/requirements. The treatment plan and progress notes incorporate core problems and client input and are designed to reduce symptoms and promote recovery. Goals are met and the level of care shows improvement 90% of the time. 100% of services provided are listed in the active treatment plan.
9. Actively monitors caseload and makes necessary changes with the supervisor. This includes seeking coaching on how to increase or decrease caseload, including discharging appropriately and timely as per agency and OMH standards/requirements.
10. Demonstrates resolution of all appointments using sound judgment regarding safety, risk, and liability. Demonstrates working knowledge of hospitalization processes and committal processes. Ensures clear hand-off, communication, and clear documentation.
11. Demonstrates cultural competency, co-occurring disorders competency, and competency of clinical work with all ages.
