Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring proper food handling and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating, garnishing, and portioning under the guidance of culinary staff
- Buss tables by clearing dishes, utensils, and glassware efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment
- Support kitchen staff with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies while practicing safe lifting techniques
- Ensure cleanliness by assisting with general cleaning duties in dining and service areas, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest transactions when needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate timely food delivery and guest service requests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving kitchen equipment or supplies
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Familiarity with banquet service, catering setups, or hotel food operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
