About the Role
We’re a professional family seeking a dependable, emotionally attuned Home Assistant/Nanny to support the smooth operation of our household and care for our two middle-school daughters and two dogs. This is a meaningful, long-term opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic home and loves engaging with children through play, structure, and relational connection.
Responsibilities
Household Support
- Plan and prepare healthy, nourishing family meals
- Tidy and organize a large home
- Manage family laundry and light housekeeping
- Run errands (groceries, dry cleaning, etc.)
- Coordinate household services (e.g., pest control, cleaning, repairs)
Childcare Support
- Provide interactive, positive care during school breaks and after school
- Assist with school pick-up/drop-off and occasional extracurriculars
- Engage in crafts, sports, music, and active outdoor play
- Use relational scaffolding and secure boundaries to support growth and well-being
- Encourage musical, emotional, and educational development
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Emotionally intelligent and confident with children
- Energetic, creative, and playful yet structured
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage time and priorities independently
- Comfortable in a busy household with pets and active kids
- Flexible, communicative, and growth-minded
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years recent experience in childcare/home support roles
- Minimum 2-year commitment (ideal: 3+ years)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (own vehicle preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Strong references
- Must pass a background check
- Must live in or near Spokane, WA 99223
