Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Busser/Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this dynamic role, you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that guests enjoy a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service hours
- Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately
- Support the dining team with bussing dishes, refilling water glasses, and attending to guest needs in person
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, chairs, or supplies following safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas, including sweeping floors and sanitizing tables and utensils
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely food running and service flow
- Uphold food safety standards by properly handling dishes, utensils, and cleaning supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic food preparation is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with banquet or hotel service environments can be beneficial
- A positive attitude, energetic approach, and commitment to delivering excellent guest service are essential
