Mid-sized DC Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Billing Coordinator to support the accurate and timely preparation of client invoices. Status: Hybrid - 9 days in office a month
Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and finalize pre‑bills and invoices, including narrative edits, write‑offs, and adjustments, ensuring accurate and timely billing and e‑billing submissions
- Troubleshoot and resolve billing and e‑billing issues as they arise
- Implement and maintain automated Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG) processes to ensure billing compliance and finalize complex invoices in accordance with client OCGs and firm billing rules
- Administer OCG rule settings and coordinate with time‑capture systems to validate and correct time entries based on client‑specific requirements
- Partner with billing attorneys and legal administrative assistants to ensure timely processing of invoices
- Manage the full billing cycle for assigned attorneys and support additional attorneys as needed
- Review and approve write‑offs and adjustments initiated by billing attorneys, ensuring compliance with firm policies
- Assist with timekeeper and matter rate maintenance, confirming rate accuracy with appropriate firm stakeholders
- Generate and distribute billing metrics and reports, including special and ad hoc reporting requests
- Process and post cash receipts and wire transfers accurately and promptly
- Support other Billing Coordinators with billing tasks and attorney requests to ensure timely responses
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- College coursework or degree preferred
- 5+ years of law firm billing experience required
- Proficiency with billing systems such as Elite/3E and BillStream
- Experience with time‑capture systems (e.g., iTimekeep) and e‑billing platforms
- Strong understanding of Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG), including automated OCG rules and compliance
- Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including posting cash receipts
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with comfort navigating multiple financial systems
- Ability to prepare, edit, and finalize complex invoices, including manual edits in Word
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to interpret complex billing requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with proven ability to manage competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- Adaptable, receptive to feedback, and quick to learn new systems and processes

- Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Required 9 days in office a month
