Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over short or long distances while operating a variety of vehicles.
Duties:
- Safely drive trucks and transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo
- Follow specific routes and time schedules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills:
- Experience with various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and vans
- Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading cargo
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients during deliveries
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers for transporting perishable goods
- Knowledge of route driving to efficiently navigate delivery locations
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to operate different types of trucks and handle various cargo loads
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience as a courier or van driver
- Familiarity with load/unload procedures for different types of cargo
