Ready Rescuer, a leading provider of CPR, AED, First Aid and BLS training, is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable BLS Instructor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to diverse groups, ensuring that participants acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations. This role demands excellent instructional abilities, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to promoting life-saving techniques.
Duties
-Conduct CPR, AED and First Aid and BLS training sessions for various audiences, including individuals, corporate clients, and community groups.
-Demonstrate and teach proper techniques for CPR, AED use, and basic first aid procedures.
-Adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs of participants.
-Prepare training materials, including handouts, presentations, and equipment.
-Set up and break down training environments, ensuring all necessary supplies are available and in good working condition.
-Travel to customer sites to conduct training (mileage rates apply).
-Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and performance.
-Evaluate participants' skills and knowledge through practical and written assessments.
-Provide constructive feedback to participants and issue certifications upon successful completion of courses.
-Stay current with certification requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
-Participate in ongoing professional development to keep up-to-date with the latest CPR, AED, First Aid and BLS techniques and guidelines.
-Gather and incorporate participant feedback to improve course content and delivery.
-Assist in the development and enhancement of training programs and materials.
-Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.
-Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines during training sessions.
-Report any incidents or injuries promptly and accurately.
-Communicate efficiently and effectively with customers and team members.
-Maintain availability for booking classes, internal meetings, events and services.
-Contribute to non-teaching activities such as marketing, sales, operations and support on an as needed basis.

Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-Current EMR/EMT/Paramedic Certification preferred, but not required.
-Current American Red Cross/American Heart Association BLS or CPR/AED/First-Aid Instructor Certification preferred, but not required.
-Additional certifications in advanced life support or specialized training areas are a plus.
-Previous experience as a BLS Instructor or in a related teaching role preferred but not required.
-Hands-on experience in emergency response, healthcare, or a similar field is highly desirable.
-Strong instructional and presentation skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Ability to engage and motivate participants.
-Proficiency in using training equipment and technology.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour
