Position Overview:
Bowyer Environmental Consulting, a UES company is seeking to add a Principal Remediation Practice Lead to support our offices in Long Beach, CA and Mission Viejo, CA. Responsibilities of this Principal role include a seller-doer focused on strategic scoping, obtaining client/agency/third party buy-in and execution of subsurface investigation/remediation programs and associated litigation support activities.
Technical scope is focused on remediation engineering, supporting environmental remediation projects involving remedial investigation, feasibility studies, pre design investigations, remedial design, remedial action, and post construction activities.
Pay Range: USD $175,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr. Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate work, provide technical leadership by leveraging past experience in remedial investigations, feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, remedial design, remedial action, operation and maintenance, regulatory negations/closure activities, post closure compliance and safety.

Serve as primary client contact for project scheduling, issue resolution, and invoicing.

Supervise a team of environmental professionals, specialists, and technicians conducting. Phase I, II investigations and remediation.

Build and maintain strong client relationships; support organizational networking and outreach.

Recruit, train, and mentor departmental personnel.

Identify opportunities for new business and additional project work.

Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals.

Secure signed client agreements before project initiation.

Assist in scoping project work and gathering initial client data.

Review and edit technical reports prepared by staff; prepare reports when directly involved in fieldwork or research.

Provide strategic guidance, Innovate and help advance industry remedial practice.

Typically spend approximately 80% of the time in the office (report writing/data analysis) and 20% in the field (sampling/research).

Submit accurate paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.

Monitor departmental expenses and interface with accounting for financial oversight.

Collaborate with other departments and regional offices to provide technical support.

Ensure strict adherence to company and regulatory safety procedures.
