Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – High-Intensity Behavior Support
Healing Palms Behavioral Center is seeking a confident, dependable, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for a child with significant behavioral challenges. This position is best suited for professionals who remain calm under pressure, are comfortable implementing behavior intervention plans consistently, and are committed to helping clients achieve meaningful progress through compassionate, evidence-based care.
The ideal candidate is resilient, maintains professionalism during challenging situations, and is able to implement behavior reduction strategies while prioritizing safety for the client and everyone involved.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy in the home, school, and/or community settings.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Teach communication, social, daily living, and other skill-acquisition programs.
- Safely and consistently implement behavior reduction procedures as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation using an electronic data collection system.
- Participate in ongoing supervision with the supervising BCBA and implement clinical feedback.
- Collaborate with caregivers by reviewing client progress and supporting treatment goals.
- Maintain professionalism, composure, and consistency during challenging behaviors while following all safety procedures.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of experience providing ABA services as an RBT.
- Experience working with clients who engage in severe challenging behaviors, including aggression, property destruction, or other high-intensity behaviors.
- Strong de-escalation skills and the ability to remain calm and objective in stressful situations.
- Background in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Autism Studies, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active RBT credential.
- Completion of the 40-hour RBT training.
- Medicaid Provider ID and NPI.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English; bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
This position requires physical stamina and the ability to actively engage with clients throughout therapy sessions. Candidates should be comfortable working with challenging behaviors while following all approved safety procedures and clinical protocols.
